Meet a Keypather: Sonia Chang
What is your role at Keypath, and what does a day in your life here at work look like?
I am a Senior Paid Media Specialist at Keypath Education, which generally means I manage online paid marketing efforts for the Partners I work with. My typical day is monitoring the progress and pacing of the performance of our programs and adjust as needed to ensure our campaigns are optimized. This could involve building out new campaigns and collaborating with our creative and development team to build out new assets or landing pages. Reporting is also an essential part of my role; to share the performance of these programs with management, so we are aligned, and there are no surprises for them. Outside of program paid marketing management, I check in with the paid media team to discuss any wins or issues they may be facing. There is a lot of collaborating between the group and with different functional teams. The best part is the budgeting season. Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but it's a necessary time as we need to evaluate the performance and make projections for paid marketing efforts for the next fiscal year.
Out of Keypath's four core values, which resonates with you most, and why? (be inventive, be collaborative, be a lifelong learner, and be committed)
I would say I most resonate with being a lifelong learner. It's vital to professional and personal growth as growth entails learning and developing your knowledge and skills further. Whether that's through experience or picking up a new skill, learning should never stop. What you can learn is endless and I find it can only help you improve. It's uplifting that lifelong learning is one of Keypath's core values, and they very much encourage it, which is excellent!
How has Keypath aided your professional development as a person?
My answer ties in with the last question as they encourage professional development. Whether through being mentored by one of the leaders or taking a course or program to further your education. Keypath has helped me with taking that step to get my Master's, which I'm in the middle of, and I'm thankful for their support. Not only financially, but leadership and peers will check-in to see how things are going and encouraging me to keep going. It's great to have support even at work.
What's the best part about working at Keypath?
Easy. The people. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly that it makes coming into work that much more enjoyable. Having such a great culture and working environment does give the extra push to put in the extra effort to go above and beyond for your peers as they would do the same. Everyone is willing to lend a helping hand from all functional teams. This kind of environment is great for encouraging collaboration, as it's easy to approach someone. It's a fun culture because of the people we have.
