LONDON – (Nov. 15, 2016) – Rajay Naik has been appointed a Governor of The Ditchley Foundation – one of the world’s most distinguished organisations.
The Ditchley Foundation discreetly brings together leaders from around the world to help shape decisions on international affairs. The foundation, established by Sir David Wills in 1958, blends intellectual rigour, informality and discretion. It hosts its gatherings in Oxfordshire’s historic Ditchley Park which is steeped in history - including being the location where Winston Churchill resided when he needed to leave London during the Second World War.
The Ditchley Governors are chosen by its Council of Management and serve five-year terms. Rajay Naik, Chief Executive Officer (Europe) at Keypath Education, was appointed to the governing body of the prestigious organisation at the recent Annual General Meeting. The Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, numerous Cabinet Ministers and the Chairmen of several FTSE100 companies were all in attendance.
As the leader of Keypath’s European operation and a major figure in global higher education, Naik is currently focussed on designing and delivering world-class online degrees to students around the world on behalf of Britain’s universities. Following his appointment he said: “I am honoured to have been appointed a Governor of The Ditchley Foundation. The Foundation plays an indispensable role in global affairs and I look forward to contributing to its vital work.”
Naik, the former Director of The Open University and Chairman of the Big Lottery Fund, joins a long and distinguished list of current and honorary members such as former Prime Ministers David Cameron and Sir John Major. Fellow current governors include Mr Andrew Knight, chairman of The Times Newspaper Holdings, Sir John Sawers, former chief of MI6 and His Excellency Mr Matthew Barzun, US Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
