What do you bring to Keypath Education as Executive Director, Operations - Asia?
I have over 10 years’ experience in financial analysis having spent 8 years in professional services working in Assurance and M&A, advising both corporate and private equity clients. I have a passion for business partnering which was further enhanced with recent experience as a finance business partner in the transport and logistics industry. My experience has equipped me with extensive financial analysis and stakeholder management skills which will add value to our functional teams and assist management decision making and evaluation of new opportunities.
How do you measure your success?
Exceeding performance targets are obviously key measures of success. They are crucial given the increasingly competitive landscape we are in today. To me, I give equal importance to the process of attaining such targets as it will ensure we maintain high standards of quality and integrity. As they say, there’s always room for improvement hence we should always strive to be better!
What’s the best lesson you’ve learned in business?
Accurate and ‘real time’ data coupled with extensive financial analysis can actively facilitate better day to day operational decision making and is a key driver to shaping strategic direction of a business. As financial analysis can be perceived to be complex, it is critical to understand the audience/stakeholder and tailor the delivery of such analysis in a clear and user-friendly manner
What excites you about higher education?
The ability to make high quality higher education programs accessible to students across Australia and around the world is what I love about this space. Plus, the competitive environment we are in today calls for a greater need to adapt – to upskill or even re-skill yourself to achieve your true potential.
If you found yourself stranded on a desert island, what book would you wish you had?
Becoming, by Michelle Obama. Her memoir discusses some great themes about navigating entirely new circumstances with curiosity, strength and grace. She has a great sense of humour too which makes this a great read, anytime!
